WAYS YOU CAN HELP

SOAR is an all-volunteer private charitable organization. We receive no government funding, but rely solely on the generosity of animal lovers such as you to continue our work for the homeless animals in our community. You can help us save lives!

Cash Gifts

Each year we care for and find new homes for more than 1,000 animals. Our adoption fees cover only a small percentage of our cost to care for these deserving animals. It is only because of the generosity of donors like you that we are able to continue this important work. Any amount is most appreciated and tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Donation of Items

We are always in need of various items to help us care for our animals and to run the organization more efficiently. Please take a look at our wishlist on the right for some ideas of the things we need. In addition, donations of household items, clothing, jewelry and other items you may no longer need or want are always accepted and appreciated as we can raise money by selling those at rummage sales, flea markets or on eBay.

Other Ways You Can Help

There are many ways that you can support, or even help raise money for, the animals in our care. These are just a few ideas:

  • Have a garage sale and donate the proceeds to us. Not only will you get rid of a lot of the clutter in your house - you will be able to take a tax-deduction on the donated money.
  • Bring your lunch to work for a week instead of eating out, and encourage all your co-workers to do the same. Donate the money you saved by not eating out to us.
  • Instead of buying a birthday present for a friend or loved one, make a donation to us in his or her name. Or, for your birthday, designate us as your charity of choice and ask that your friends and loved ones donate to us in your name instead of buying you presents.
