ADOPT

Each year Starting Over Animal Rescue (SOAR) cares for and finds new homes for more than 1,000 pets. Though a majority of these animals are dogs and cats, on occasion, we will have other small mammals, birds and even reptiles in our care.

Why Adopt from SOAR?

All the animals in our care are housed in foster homes. Thus, we know each individual animal, and everything about their personalities, very well. Our priority is not just to find a home, but the home: the right, loving permanent home for each animal in our care. For you this means we will find you the dog or cat, who is right for you, your family and your lifestyle. You will know everything we know about the animal by the time it arrives at your house.

All adoptions are by appointment. If you are interested in adopting an animal from SOAR, please call us at (602) 993-9393.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees for dogs and cats vary from $50 - $200. In addition to a lifetime of love and companionship, the fee includes:

  • spay or neuter surgery
  • vaccinations
  • microchips in adult animals
  • delivery of your new pet to your home

These are only some of the wonderful dogs and cats currently in our care. Please give us a call at (602) 993-9393 and talk to us about all the animals available for adoption.

Cuddles (Female)

Age: 4 years

Cuddles is an absolute doll. The fact that she only has three legs does nothing to damper the amazing spirit of this little girl. This young lady is a poodle mix and a true ray of sunshine. She loves everyone she meets and makes new friends everyday.

Cuddles is housetrained, and good with cats, dogs and people of all ages..

Razzle (Female)

Age: 4 years

Looking for a dog with heart of gold and perfect manners? Look no further. Our Razzle is a real lady.

Razzle is a silver and white cocker spaniel mix. She is housetrained, knows how to use a doggy door and gets along with cats, dogs and people. Sometimes younger children can make her a little nervous, but a family with older kids would be her dream. If you want to really make her day, let her come with you for a ride in the car. To Razzle, there is nothing better!

Creamy (Male)

Age: 16 weeks

A heart of gold to go with his golden fur! Creamy is a wonderful little boy who is just beginning to learn about the world around him. Creamy has not met any dogs yet, so we don't know what he thinks of them, but he is great with other cats. Sometimes, he is a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he turns into a real snuggler.

Frisky (Male)

Age: 16 weeks

Frisky is Creamy, Tiger and Tiny's brother. Just like his brothers, he is a true cuddle bug. At this young age, the world is really big and full of new experiences, so sometimes it all seems a little scary. But give him a chance to get to know you and you will be rewarded with lots and lots of affection.

Tiger (Male)

Age: 16 weeks

There is lots to learn when you are a little kitten. Thankfully, Tiger has had his brothers Creamy, Frisky and Tiny to accompany him in his explorations. But now it is time to go out on his own, and Tiger is looking for a new family.

Tiger, like his brothers, can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and if you show a little patience, you will be rewarded with lots of love from this handsome young man.

Tiny (Male)

Age: 16 weeks

He might be "Tiny" but his love for you won't be! This young man is a lover through and through. Not always realizing what a charmer he is, he can be a little shy at first, but with some attention his confidence grows and you won't be able to find a better new friend!
