ADOPT ANIMAL INTAKEUPCOMING EVENTS VOLUNTEER ABOUT US

ADOPT

Each year Starting Over Animal Rescue (SOAR) cares for and finds new homes for more than 1,000 pets. Though a majority of these animals are dogs and cats, on occasion, we will have other small mammals, birds and even reptiles in our care.

Why Adopt from SOAR?

All the animals in our care are housed in foster homes. Thus, we know each individual animal, and everything about their personalities, very well. Our priority is not just to find a home, but the home: the right, loving permanent home for each animal in our care. For you this means we will find you the dog or cat, who is right for you, your family and your lifestyle. You will know everything we know about the animal by the time it arrives at your house.

All adoptions are by appointment. If you are interested in adopting an animal from SOAR, please call us at (602) 993-9393.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees for dogs and cats vary from $50 - $200. In addition to a lifetime of love and companionship, the fee includes:

  • spay or neuter surgery
  • vaccinations
  • microchips in adult animals
  • delivery of your new pet to your home

Featured Animals

These are only some of the wonderful dogs and cats currently in our care. Please give us a call at (602) 993-9393 and talk to us about all the animals available for adoption.

Keana(Female)

Age: 1 year 3 months

Keana is a purebred Rottweiler and she just turned one year old at the end of September 09. She is about 60 lbs., housebroken, crate trained and great with all children. Keana would be great with any other pets or as an only pet. She loves to be with her family as much as possible, loves exercise, especially walking/running on a leash.

Bella (Female)

Age: 1 year

Bella is only one year old and still very much a puppy. Her deafness does not compromise her quality if life in any way. She is great with other dogs, cats, and children over 10 because of her rambunctionsness. Bella loves water and swims like a fish. Bella is housebroken and crate trained. Bella's ideal home would include at least one other high energy dog for her to play with, and lots of walks and playing with her family!

Our adoptable page is currently being updated so please check back in the next few days for more available animals.

We currently have a sponsor opportunity!! We have a wonderful dog that was saved off of the streets of South Phoenix. When we started trying to trap her she was very, very pregnant. Well she disappared off of the streets for a few days and when she was finally located again she had 10 beautiful puppies with her. We are looking for wonderful and giving people that might be interested in donating funds, food or blankets and towels to help us care for this huge family. All of the puppies will be spayed and neutered at around 3 months of age and will then be put up for adoption. After the mama "Gypsy" has stopped nursing and her hormones have settled she will be assessed and if adoptable will be put up for adoption and if not she will live with her foster family for the rest of her life. She will also need to be spayed once she dries up. All dogs will need blood work, alter surgeries, shots and licensing. Along with potty training, socialization and day to day work. As we all know this is a 24hr 7 day a week job that requires lots of patience, love and funds. Any way you can help will be wonderful. If you would like to donate in any way or pick a puppy to sponsor please contact us at 602-993-9393 or startingoveranimalrescue@hotmail.com
